April 28, 2025 - How Do I Get Sponsorship?
Happy Monday!
Here’s what’s on the job description for today:
Companies hiring include a startup studio with an opportunity for MBA students.
A look at the fastest and slowest growing areas of employment.
Today’s Question: “I absolutely need sponsorship. How can I get more interviews or a role where visa sponsorship is possible?”
"Change before you have to."

EMPLOYMENT MARKET
With so much worry about AI taking everyone’s job, it’s worth looking at what our overlords at the World Economic Forum are thinking (please don’t freeze my bank account if you’re reading this).
Unsurprisingly the largest “winners” in the era of AI are highly technical roles related to data and AI with some hope for green technology workers. I will note that the infographic below is related to what they expect by 2030, and I don’t believe their track record of predicting future trends is anything to write home about. I do find it interesting that “Light truck or delivery service drivers” are part of the fastest growing jobs (you’ll still be able to Uber Eats to your role in big data).

TODAY’S QUESTION
Today’s Question: “I absolutely need sponsorship. How can I get more interviews or a role where visa sponsorship is possible?”
First, I would move away from a broad application strategy towards one which is more focused, with an emphasis on networking.
As many job hunters know, companies love to screen you out if you need a visa.
By focusing on a smaller list of companies and building connections, you can find yourself in more interviews with companies who already know some of your story.
Second, start with companies that have the ability to sponsor.
Use the links below to see a list of companies that can sponsor for the US and UK.
Other geographies such as the Middle East or non-UK Europe are less intense about visa sponsorship.
Finally, whether you’re seeking citizenship, a few years of work experience, or a life of travel and work, sometimes you just need to stay abroad.
If you’re running out of time on your visa and still have no job, countries such as Germany, Austria, and Portugal offer “Job Seeker Visas” where you can stay in the country while you look for a job.
For those that are interested, this is a good starting place to get the required information. Be sure to do further investigation on your selected country before making any decisions.
Conclusion:
There are many options but for the best results, be purposeful about the path your following and network like hell!
Have a great week,
Adam
