TODAY’S QUESTION

Anushka asks, “I have tried everything and I’m just burned out. What should I change next?”

Recommendation: This is the best way I’ve seen to get more interviews or pass more of the interviews you do have. Continuously look at changing one of the following:

  • Try changing your resume to include a professional summary. For two weeks, add a summary with three bullet points at the top of your resume and make them hyper relevant to the requirements in the job description.

  • For a few weeks, reach out to three people at every company you send an application to. Start a conversation about their role and your curiosity to learn more. These conversations will mix up the pace of applications, making things more interesting and dynamic.

  • Finally, change up the place you find roles. While LinkedIn is great, here are three others I recommend trying out:

Conclusion:

If you keep things stagnant for too long, the outcomes will start to rule your life, mood, and the ability to keep going. Change things up every few weeks to keep it fresh and interesting.
