TODAY’S QUESTION
Ciu asks, “I have seen far fewer roles recently. When will the good jobs return?”
Recommendation: there’s really two parts to how I think about this:
First, the seasonality to hiring tends to bring most opportunities in the fall (September to November) and the new year (January to April) but that isn’t an exact science as roles do pop up year round.
Second, due to the supply/demand factors, there can be great outcomes found for those willing to slog through applications when there are fewer opportunities. While right now there are many fewer roles being posted, there are also less applicants seeking them.
Finally, set your expectations that times outside of the major hiring windows will have to be used a bit differently than during January or September when it feels like everyone is hiring.

Conclusion:
Things have slowed down but that doesn’t necessarily mean there’s no value to be had!
